Ford is going all out with its 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor after opening the order books for the vehicle. It is also possible to configure the vehicle online.

As the end of the year approaches, Ford has reportedly been ramping up the production in order to meet the demand for the SUV which will be available soon. At a starting price of $49,520, buyers will be able to lay their hands on a vehicle producing 450 bhp. Ford recently claimed that 65% of the production has already been sold. Most of the customers appear to have been from Florida, Texas, and California with retail consumers contributing the biggest sale.

Even though the prices of the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor start from less than $50,000, it is highly probable that buyers will be upgrading several options on the vehicle. Chief among the features to enhance the vehicle would be the four-door version, which starts from $52,505. It is easy to ramp up the price of the vehicle, as the likes of the technology package and a few other options could easily bring the price to around $70,000.

The technology package brings elements like Lane keeping assist and active cruise control along with collision prevention. The package is available for $1950 making it one of the cheapest around. It is also possible to opt for the luxury package which adds features like leather seats, 360° cameras, blindspot monitoring system, and voice-activated navigation for close to $10,000. Most of the initial 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor on the roads may be in the Shadow Black shade, as it has been revealed as the most popular option so far.

There is already a huge waiting list for the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, which may be one of the most popular vehicles in 2017. Dealerships have been turning down customers in recent weeks, while Ford continues to decline figures on the exact production numbers. The vehicle comes with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which develops 375 bhp and 470 lb-ft. Since most of the torque is available from as low as 3500 rpm, it reportedly gave the vehicle it towing capacity of more than 8000 pounds. The vehicle will come with a destination and delivery fee of around $1200.

Even though production of the commenced, Ford has not yet detailed on the delivery time of the vehicle. It should be just over a month away at the start of 2017.
