The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is a heavy duty truck from U.S. that it is making its debut in China for the first time.
Such models were usually reserved for audience in North America but with a view to cope up with buyer interest, Ford is taking a big leap forward.
Branded as the ultimate high performance vehicle by the manufacturer, the newly launched Ford-F150 Raptor has all of its components revamped including the chassis, suspension and an engine that is built from the ground up to be extremely powerful unlike the conventional powertrain. The Chinese buyers will now be able to cruise rugged mountain terrains, desert landscapes and other demanding situations on the Ford vehicle.
The model heading to China is the four-door SuperCrew edition which boasts of a slew of top materials including military grade, high strength aluminum alloy cab and has a broad muscular broad to stand true to its claim. The truck is never complete without being able to render the right performance. Under the bonnet, it is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission system. Drivers will have six different modes to choose from. Each one of them is customized with a proprietary Terrain Management System technology.
Ruggedness to the vehicle is rendered by Ford Performance high strength steel frame and despite the muscular finish, the truck offers good suspension with custom built Fox Racing shocks. It also has a high ground clearance so as to enable adventure travelers to stay on the move. It uses BFGoodrich off-road tires combined with dual performance exhaust system.

Ford Performance division has planned to launch at least 12 new vehicles before 2020. The 2017 F-150 Raptor is one of many and the list also includes Shelby GT350, Shelby GT350R, Ford GT and Ford RS.
