Before the official reveal, spy pictures of the car have emerged online. As expected, the car was heavily camouflaged to ensure the design aspects doesn’t leak until the official reveal. The supermini version was spotted on the road and some of the changes can be spotted despite the strong camouflage. The 2017 Ford Fiesta is an important launch for the automobile manufacturer. They have given it their best attention with some posh changes including a swept back headlight, slim front finish and the family friendly appearance has been retained in the new launch as well.
Some of the biggest changes to the Fiesta are reserved to the back of the car. It features wide and horizontal taillights which is quite contrasting to the earlier edition that featured vertical taillights. With these minor but significant add-ons, the car looks more wider giving it an aggressive look like never before. The dimensions of the car have however remained nearly the same as the outgoing model.
With all new additions and plenty of new features to look forward to, Ford has modified the price tag of the car. It is expected to be higher than the current edition owing to the technical upgrades and the overall bump in performance. The 2017 Ford Fiesta is constructed on top of the Global B platform. Designers might have had a hard time because being on the same platform, there is just millimeters of space to make all the modifications and we should say they have done an amazing job.
Another advantage to using the same B platform is that the overall cost of production remains the same. The new Fiesta might be priced higher but it may not break the roof as Ford didn’t have to invest in research and development of a new architecture. The inside of the car will receive a large touchscreen display used to control the infotainment system. Safety features found in the 2017 Fiesta includes lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and blind spot monitoring.
Ford Fiesta 2017 edition will continue to be the forefront of the small car division despite the presence of the cheaper Ka+. Pricing is expected to be around 13,000 British pounds and the Ka+ new edition will be priced much lower as the components are being manufactured in India, instead of Germany this time around.
