Mazda has already given us a glimpse of how the new RF model will look like during the New York auto show. Along with the purchase, the limited edition owners will receive a Tourneau 42-mm face watch. The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF will not be the first car to receive the invitation only treatment as the brand has planned to continue it as they did with specific 2016 and 2015 models.
Under the hood, the Miata RF is powered by a 2.0-liter Skyactiv I-4 engine. It is capable of rendering up to 155 horsepower. The previous launch events were extremely successful for Mazda as their cars sold out in ten minutes even before the general public to pre-order them. The RF launch edition is expected to witness such patronage from their buyers.
