The 2017 flagship saloon from Volkswagen is the Arteon which has some exciting new features to look forward to.
The upcoming model is going to be the rival that the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe needs and has its specific design aspects to make it a potential choice for buyers.
A revamped and much improved engine can be found under the hood. The 2017 Volkswagen Arteon is powered by a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine capable of rendering about 276 horsepower. An option choice and an upgrade would be the 2.0-liter TSI engine which is also equipped with an all-wheel drive system and will be the range topping offering from the house of Volkswagen. The car was first showcased during the Geneva motor show and will be available for purchase in dealership stores in UK. While the actual pricing of the model is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be around £30,000.
Compared to so many other Volkswagen cars in stores, the automobile manufacturer is keen on promoting the Arteon as the premium flagship model it is designed to be. The car measures 4,862mm in length and falls under the Sport Coupe concept which was originally revealed at the Geneva show in 2015. Uniqueness overflows in the design of the car right from the large bonnet, dipped wheelarches to the newly designed LED headlights. The front fascia of the car is largely dominated by the wide, horizontal grille found in VW models.
The 2017 Volkswagen Arteon offers about 563 liters of boot space and it’s unique features are mostly found in the interior. The assistance technology is just one among them as the designers have done many changes to offer a comfortable ride for the passengers. About 1,016 mm legroom is offered inside the car making it highly sophisticated for even the most demanding person.
Seats are covered in Alcantara leather and there are three different interior themes to choose from based on your personal preference. Color choices provided include dark grey, black and a mix of both. The top of the line R cars will get aluminum accents and features Birch wood trim which seamlessly merges with the center console made with piano black finish. There’s a 6.5-inch display and a 9.2-inch Discover Pro made to support gesture control for safe driving. The 2017 Volkswagen Arteon also supports self-steering emergency assist and has an adaptive cruise control setup.
