Alleged Honor 8X (ARE-AL00) Full Specs Leak on TENAA; Reveals Huge 7.12-inch Display

Huawei recently unveiled its new Kirin 710 SoC for mid-range phones. The company is now prepping up to launch new smartphones to target the mid-range market and Honor 8X could be the upcoming one.

Yesterday, a Honor branded smartphone with a model number of ARE-AL00 had surfaced on TENAA. It had appeared with minimal information such as dimensions, display and battery size. The TENAA listing of ARE-AL00 is now updated with full specifications.

The Honor ARE-AL00 will be a massive smartphone as its TENAA listing has revealed that it measures 177.57 x 86.24 x 8.13mm and it weighs 210 grams. The handset is fitted with a massive display of 7.12 inches that carries support for 2244 x 1080 pixels. The TENAA images of the phone reveal that it features a valley notch like the Oppo F9. The handset is packed with a battery of 4,900 mAh capacity.

The ARE-AL00 smartphone is fueled by 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. Probably, the handset could be fueled by Kirin 710 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The handset is preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo and it comes with an internal storage of 64 GB. It also features a microSD card slot. For photography, the smartphone is equipped with 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear-mounted dual camera and a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The TENAA images also that its fingerprint scanner is positioned on its back panel. The color variants of the smartphone include blue, black and red.

Even though the rumor mill is referring to ARE-AL00 Honor phone as Honor 8X or 8S, there is no concrete evidence to support this claim. In related news, a new Huawei/Honor device with model number JSN-AL00 has received certification from 3C body in China. The same model has also been approved by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT).
