The Apple event that is held every year is an event that is much awaited by the entire world, especially by the loyal Apple fans.
It was expected that the company would release the latest version of its iPad, the iPad Mini 5 at the recent Apple event that was held on September 7, 2016. However, for reasons unknown, the launch did not happen. Instead, Apple announced only about its latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7Plus mobile handsets, the AirPods and iOS 10 that will all be arriving soon to the market with some pretty exciting specifications.
Looks like a few things have been changed on the company’s website with regard to the terms of the iPads. Compared to this page that was “cached” before the event, the pricing and the specifications of the new iPad models have been changed, as the capacity for storage for the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Air 2 are different. The iPad Mini 4 and the iPad Air 2 with an internal storage capacity of 16GB is not sold anymore. This means that if you still want to buy either of these devices, you will have to look out for variants with a 32GB internal storage capacity.
The iPad Pro, at the same time, has also been subjected to some changes in its storage capacity. However, its price has been reduced. For example, if you are planning on purchasing a 12.9 inch variant of the iPad Pro, you will notice that there is a cut in the prices of about $50 up to $100. Though the reduction in price is not very big, still it clearly indicates that Apple is preparing itself towards the release of its new iPad models, which includes the much expected iPad Mini 5.

If the rumors are to be believed, then the much awaited iPad Mini 5 will have a Series 7000 Aluminum casing. This is the same material that was used for casing the iPhone 6S. This new casing ensures that the iPad is lighter and at the same time it will also have a stiffer body. Coming to the overall design, the iPad Mini 5 and the iPad Mini 4 will be quite similar. It is most likely that the new iPad may feature a 7.9-inch Retina display.
The iPad Mini 5 base model will be a 32GB variant. It is expected to be incorporated with an M9 or A9 processing chip and 3D Touch feature. Unfortunately, there is no information about any upgrades that will be made to the camera. It is also possible that Apple might decide to ditch the headphones jack from the iPad Mini 5 like it did with the iPhone 7.
The iPad Mini 5’s release is expected to be sometime in early 2017. It is a release for which all the Apple lovers are looking forward to with a lot of expectations.
