Apple has sown the seeds for the third major beta update for the upcoming macOS Sierra 10.12.3 release to the public beta testers, after one week of implanting the first public beta and after one day of seeding the second 10.12.3 beta to the developers.
According to MacRumors, Apple’s release notes regarding the latest macOS 10.12.3 update had said that the update will be improving the stability of the Mac device, apart from improving the security and compatibility issues of the Mac too. However, there were no feature additions, bug fixes, or any specific changes observed in the two previous developer betas. According to iphonehacks, no features that were set to forge ahead were discovered in the initial developer beta seeds. It also mentioned that since this is the same software, it is not very likely that any progressing features will be found in the public beta also. The site also reported that it was not very clear about what new features and bug fixes will be introduced with the new 10.12.3 update, as no obvious changes have been observed in the initial betas.
Apple Beta Testing of macOS 10.12.3
The beta 2 of the macOS Sierra version 10.12.3 of build 16D17a is now available for installation over-the-air which can be done by heading to the Updates tab at the Mac App Store on the Mac device.
The Apple’s beta testing program will provide the users access to the betas of both macOS Sierra and iOS. However, it is advised that the Betas not be installed on the primary device as it can affect the potential stability of the machine. The Beta testers who have signed up for the beta testing program from Apple will be receiving the 10.12.3 macOS Sierra beta in the Mac App Store via the Software Update mechanism. As per the reports published by iphonehacks, the public beta testers of macOS, the public beta 2 of macOS Sierra version 10.12.3 will be available as an over-the-air (OTA) software upgrade via the Mac App Store on the devices that have already been registered under the public beta program.
