ASUS announced the ZenFone 3 handsets a few months ago but ever since the company has yet to avail the handsets to the U.S. market.
At last month’s IFA 2016, the tech giant also unveiled an ASUS ZenWatch 3, but like the ZenFone 3 handsets, this smartwatch has not made it to the shelves in the U.S. This is, however, coming to an end starting this coming week as ASUS has finally made the devices available for preorders through the official website, with shipping expected to begin within weeks.
In case you didn’t know, ASUS ZenFone 3 is a series of handsets that contains four models. The base model, which is the ZenFone 3 Laser, can be purchased right now from the company’s website. However, those looking for more power may have to wait before buying their choices, but this wait shouldn’t be long in any case.
The midrange ASUS ZenFone 3 comes with a Snapdragon 625 and 4GB RAM alongside a 5.5-inch screen. The next in line is the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, which steps up the screen size to 5.7 inches, adding a Snapdragon 820 SoC alongside 6GB RAM. As for the high-end ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition, you get a similar 5.7-inch screen, but there is a speedier Snapdragon 821 SoC on board alongside a RAM of 6GB and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
ASUS has made all four ZenFone 3 models available for pre-orders via its own website. Due to the differences in the hardware specs, you also get different price tags for the phones. The ZenFone 3 Laser is valued at $199 while the high-end Deluxe Special Edition is valued at a massive $799. If you need any of the middle offerings, the standard ZenFone 3 has a price tag of $399 while the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is priced at $499.
The ZenWatch 3, which is also expected to be available for purchase alongside the ZenFone 3, will have a price tag of $229. Pre-orders of the watch are not yet live, but those looking to get their hands on the smartphones can start doing so as from October 12th for the non-special editions while the high-end model will start shipping on October 19th.
