Three models of Asus smartphones have been sighted on the benchmarking site Geekbench with the Android Pie OS, namely Asus ZenFone Live L1, Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite.
Obviously, the monikers appearing on the Geekbench site have their model numbers and not names mentioned. In the case of the Asus Zenfone Live L1 (ZA550KL), the model number is ASUS_X00RD. Similarly, Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) is known by the model number ASUS_X00LD and Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite (ZB520KL) is known by the model number ASUS_X00HDA.

Asus ZenFone Live L1: The First Android Go Phone
This phone was released in May 2018 with some modest specifications and with the Android Go OS, the budget version of the operating system. In the case of the Asus ZenFone Live L1, the phone came with Android Oreo version 8.0 and ZenUI 5 and now the phone is about to get upgraded to Android 9 Pie OS soon as indicated by its appearance on Geekbench. The phone has a display of 5.5 inches, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC processor and with 1 GB / 2 GB RAM variants. With the Android Go OS, the 16 GB internal storage becomes adequate to operate the phone efficiently however, there is a 32 GB internal storage variant as well. There is the dedicated microSD card slot to lift the storage to 512 GB. The battery is 3000 mAh in size.
Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Up for Second OS Upgrade?
As you may know, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie was launched by the company is 2017 October and it came with the Android Nougat version 7.0 and has been subsequently upgraded to the Android Oreo version 8.1. Now that the phone has been seen on the Geekbench platform with the Android Pie OS, can it be assumed it is getting its second OS, in two years? It is very much possible if the manufacturer feels the device has the basic specs to carry it off without affecting its performance. But then, there’s a possibility that it may not happen as well since Asus may consider upgrading several other phones in this range instead of this 2017 phone.

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite
Similar to Zenfone 4 Selfie, the Selfie Lite was released with Android Nougat OS. It was released a month after Zenfone 4 Selfie was released by Asus. Spec-wise, both phones are almost similar with 5.5 inch display and a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Both phones has 3000 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and a single 13MP front camera for selfie. The main difference between Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Lite is the small change in processor. Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with Snapdragon 430 SoC whereas Selfie Lite has Snapdragon 430 SoC. Though Geekbench listing hints at Pie upgrade, whether or not Asus decides to upgrade this phone has to be seen!
