Bentley is getting busy next year as the company has confirmed that they will be building a more powerful version of the popular Bentayga SUV.

The brand is also going to build a super sports car named Barnato to rival their immediate competitors.

The new super coupe SUV is the most important update as the auto brand plans to offer a faster, sleeker version of the Bentayga to compete with the BMW X6M. The upcoming model is scheduled to be launched in 2017 and may be revealed as a concept car during the Geneva motor show which is set to take place in March. The image from Bentley gives us a glimpse of how the car would look with coupe style roofline, sleek body and bulgy wheel arches.

“The new car will have a stronger focus on on-road performance. Despite being a sports car that delivers power, it will still have four seats and four doors making it as practical as possible. The luggage space however in the new Bentayga could be lesser because of some changes made to the overall design. The compromise allows buyers to get a sleek and aggressive looking car which if faster than its predecessor,” said product line director Peter Guest.

Under the hood, the car is expected to be powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine with bigger components. It includes larger wheels, a high rise aggressive bumper and sportier stance. The aerodynamic capabilities of the car will be much better and it should be more than capable of going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 4 seconds. The top speed of the model is expected to be somewhere around 200mph and may probably go higher if tweaked the right way. It’s pricing is pegged at £160,000.

Bentley also confirmed that they will be building a sports car named Barnato. The idea is to make an appealing for the young and dynamic customers. It is designed to compete with Aston Martin V8 Vantage and should be priced close to £130,000. The model has been greenlight at the moment and it might take another two years or so for it to be manufactured before finding its way to the dealership stores.
