The LG V30 is going to be a unique flagship smartphone from the manufacturer that doesn’t focus on bezel less display or long lasting battery.
Instead, the company is taking a completely different route to focus on offering hi-fi audio output to beat their competitors.
Going by the trend, the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 is going to largely focus on creating bezel less display just like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. From a user perspective, it does look good but may not be extremely appealing when multiple companies does the same. The LG V30 on the other hand actually caters to audiophiles, people who love music and entertainment making it a complete flagship package to go for. In terms of design, the phone looks similar to Motorola phones. It is the tried and tested design which could hardly fail.
The phone’s design got leaked in numerous product listings, spy photos and so on. However, the audio related news comes from an official press release sent by LG. In their report, the company confirmed that they are going to offer a whole new level of music fidelity never seen before in any smartphone. Under the metal shell, the phone is equipped with 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC which is very much customizable and improved compared to the previously launched LG V20 smartphone.

A lot of promising features which should excite audiophiles can be found in the phone including digital filters and multiple sound presets to choose from. The advantage is that the hardware required to boost any headphone will be integrated within the smartphone. Users don’t have to buy expensive headsets in order to enjoy that immersive sound because the DAC provides the much needed boost which will sound amazing even in ordinary headsets. Once you invest and buy the smartphone, that’s all you will ever need to listen to your audio.
Additional features found in the upcoming V30 includes high resolution audio streaming, and the ability to record audio using HD Audio Recorder which allows the user to use the audio receiver and the microphone at the same time. For maximum immersion, the LG V30 smartphone is not bundled with some random headphones but a powerful and branded B&O Play earphones. The company rolled out a video teaser last week to give buyers a preview of the kind of audio they can expect when buying the smartphone. It is set to be officially launched on Aug 31st.
