Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 are no longer new to the rumor mill, however, this time it has nothing to do with rumors. Instead, Samsung Malaysia has now made it official that the two phones can be pre-ordered starting next Friday, January 6th.

This has been coming for some time now, with previous reports indicating that the global launch of the phone will be happening in early January via the CES 2017. Now that the South Korean tech giant has availed details of both Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 in Malaysia, it only remains to be seen when the same will be happening in other regions across the globe.

In case you didn’t know, Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 are the latest midrangers from the company, but they boast an amazing set of features that move them close to the high-end Galaxy S7 and even the deceased Galaxy Note 7. For starters, buyers of the phone will get to enjoy the very best dust and water resistance rating in the shape of IP68. In addition, the two handsets will also ship with the company’s new Always On Display feature that made its debut with the Galaxy S7.

According to reports coming from Malaysia, Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 will come in at a price of RM 1, 699 whereas the high-end Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 will be valued at RM 1, 899. When converted using the current rates, it means buyers in the U.S. will have to part with about $379 for the A5 2017 while the A7 2017 will set them back about $424 – not so bad prices for two phones that pack quite a number of high-end specs and features.

As noted, pre-orders for these two will begin next Friday, but they won’t be available for purchase until January 15th, the date the phones’ pre-orders will be concluded. Samsung Malaysia is also throwing in an amazing perk for those who pre-order the phones by giving away a free pair of Samsung Level U Pro wireless headphones that is otherwise valued at RM 399 or about $89.

While Samsung has not made the specs of the Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 known to the world, a leaked user manual (Russian) has confirmed that the two will come with support for Samsung Pay as well as USB Type-C connectivity.
