The Devil May Cry 5 is an upcoming critically acclaimed action packed slash and hack adventure video game with four prequels.
There is no confirmed date as yet on when the game will be released, although various gossips have made their way online regarding this. According to a Vinereport news release a few months earlier, Nils Hognestad, Norwegian voice actor had stated about mentioning the game in his resume. However, this was later found to have been removed from his resume. Yet, this leads to speculations that he could be lending his voice to the key leading man Dante in the game from Capcom. Tom Phillips rendered the voice for the earlier versions. People all over the world have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of DMC 5 for a long time since 2008 ever since the special edition of Devil May Cry 4 ended with a teaser that invited viewers to wait for the next version at the end of the game.
Although it was expected that the game will launch along with Sony’s two new playstations PS4 Slim and PS4 Neo, it came as a surprise that Sony did not hint anything about this possibility in its recent Sony PlayStation Meeting held in September 2016. Rather, an IGN report states that Sony confirmed the availability of another game called Resident Evil 7: Biohazard for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 during this meeting. This can kill the chances of DMC 5 being released any time in the near future.
What You Can Expect in the Latest Devil May Cry Game
The Devil May Cry 5 will feature the actions of the previous versions combined together in chronological order. This will give new gamers a good insight into the game’s previous history. As a result, players are hoping that the combat system will feature a change. They are hoping for a uniform control method and combat style throughout the game. In addition to offering the full history of DMC, the new game will also showcase new story content to fill in the earlier voids for first time gamers. There are strong rumors that the Devil May Cry 5 is not going to include the studio Ninja Theory DMC reboot like its earlier version as speculated earlier. A new devil may also find its place in the new game when it finally reaches DMC lovers. But, no further details about the devil and what role it would play in the game have been revealed at the moment.
Authenticity of Devil May Cry 5 Release
There were various rumors doing the rounds that Capcom is not planning for any DMC game, which could mean that there would be no Devil May Cry 5 game at all for DMC lovers. But, Game Blog, a French blogging website dedicated to providing information on games states that Capcom is on its way to unravel the game soon. This rumor stems from a photo that Johnny Yong Bosch posted on his Facebook page. The picture showed Bosch along with Reuben Langdon dressed in motion capture headsets and suites in a picture. It may be worth recalling that Bosch and Langdon played crucial roles in the prequel Devil May Cry 4. They lent their voices to the characters Nero and Dante respectively. This almost certainly confirms the fact that DMC 5 is at presently in the production stages and will almost in all certainty see the light of the day. In fact, a statement on GameRanx hints that the game is already in the advanced and most probably final stages of development. If so, there are good chances of a release any time soon. What is worth noting is that this proclamation was made after game lovers stopped waiting for DMC 5 towards the end of last year. The wait ended when the DMC published indicated that there were no plans for another sequel.
Additionally, a tweet by Hideaki Itsuno, director of the previous Devil May Cry 2, 3 and 4 versions states that he is working on a project that he refused to name at that point of time. There are strong notions that the untitled project refers to the making of Devil May Cry 5.
