The ambitious electric car maker, Faraday Future has confirmed that they are indeed ready to showcase their concept model at the upcoming consumer electronics show scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2017.

The announcement was first made by Faraday Future on their official Twitter handle. It was nearly confirmed by that time but the brand spoke to a top auto magazine today and reconfirmed that they are indeed going to be there at CES 2017. The first production vehicle in their lineup will be revealed at this grand event that is dedicated to showcasing the best in the world of technology.

Cars have come a long way since their inception and with the entry into the electric segment, they have become more of technological gadgets than being mere automobiles. Tesla has been working on introducing self-driving technology in their cars and all top auto manufacturers are following the same route.

It has been nearly a year since Faraday Future first launched their concept car FFZero1. The model was originally shown at the CES event held and is now moving into production. While most opine that the FFZero1 will be the car they are going to show, a prototype was spotted on the roads. The disguised vehicle has led to rumors that the auto brand is going to launch another EV at the CES 2017 event.

Despite the heavy camouflage, we could still make out that the prototype looked like a high riding sedan or probably a crossover. The company didn’t try to hide it much and it has been cruising the roads multiple times a day to test its compatibility in real world conditions. Rumors link it to the Faraday Future and it could be wrong but spy photographers are usually reliable when it comes to revealing cars before their official launch.

Supporting the announcement, the company’s parent brand LeEco during a recent event confirmed that they are planning to make some big reveals at the CES 2017. The event is scheduled to take place in the month of January. It commences on January 5th and will run till the 8th of the same month.

Faraday Future is going on a really strong note. The company has already begun construction of their $1 billion EV factory and has also announced that they are going to partner with Dragon Racing. The partnership will allow the brand to introduce their vehicles in the Formula E championship.
