GMC has officially launched the next gen 2016 Sierra 1500 all-terrain pickup truck. The new vehicle features a bold, aggressive look with a powerful engine on the inside to deliver the power expected of it.

While most daily commuters would go for a sedan or a crossover SUV, the demanding buyers who love to go on adventure trips and haul heavy items would love to own trucks. The all-terrain pickup trucks have always been at the forefront and the newly launched GMC Sierra 1500 ups the ante with attention to detail, performance and overall looks.

The premium grade full-sized pickup truck delivers impressive performance, thanks to the 5.3-liter V-8 engine used in the standard model. There is no need to upgrade to a flagship model in order to get the horsepower which sweetens the deal. A major portion of the truck’s body is made using stainless steel material and its overall performance is boosted by the bold exhaust.

The total power delivered is pegged at 365 horsepower combined with 383 lb feet of torque. When equipped with the Z71 off-road suspension package, the truck gets notable new additions including underbody case shield to withstand bumps, hill descent control system, monotube rancho dumpers and an anti-lock braking system. It uses large 18-inch wheels that offers high ground clearance.

Designed to be used in any kind of terrain, the GMC Sierra 1500 all-terrain pickup truck uses an all-wheel drive setup. The standard items also include black sport bar, black sport steps and the bar can be used to mount additional LED lights for better vision. A touch of black is found throughout the truck both on the inside and the outside. GMC has kept the LED daytime running lights, the front bumper and the front fascia of the vehicle remains largely the same.

The production version model pictures are released online that gives buyers a good idea of what to expect from the car. However, it is not the finalized version and the actual truck may have some notable changes when it is available in dealership stores. The manufacturer released a teaser video to promote the new Sierra 1500 all-terrain x-pickup truck.

Color variants available include summit white, iridium metallic, crimson red tintcoat, light steel gray, stone blue metallic and onyx black. In an official blog post, GMC confirmed that the model will be available in dealership stores in late spring next year.
