Google Nexus 2016 has been in the news for all the right reasons.
Everyone is looking forward to the inauguration of this new device and the good news is that the device will be introduced to the public when the I/O Developer Conference begins in May later this year.
Google is planning to make a combination device that is part tablet and part smartphone. This new device should be available to the public in just one year’s time in 2017. Companies like LG and Huawei – both of whom are planning to co-produce the new device with Google, will also produce this new device.
If you are eagerly waiting for the introduction of the new Google Nexus 2016, then you will probably have to wait another year because that is when Google plans to release the product. Huawei will produce the 3rd generation Nexus 2016. The partnership between these two companies seems to be working very well, with Huawei being involved with making the Nexus 6P and Google concentrating on making the tablet.
LG for its part will be involved with the making of the smartphone component. The company has some experience in this field and has previously made a couple of top class smartphones – namely the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 5. These products were also made in cooperation with Google. Unfortunately, the Nexus 5X produced by LG turned out to be a damp squid.
The Nexus 5X has seen its price being slashed by about 67 dollars. However, speculations are doing the rounds that Google will work with other phone manufacturing companies to produce its new Nexus 7 2016. Besides Huawei and LG, the company may also think about working with Motorola and perhaps even with HTC. Latest reports suggest that Google will eventually stick with Huawei.
As for the actual Nexus 7 2016 specs, not much is known. However, we think that the company will offer the device with a nice 7-inch screen that has a good resolution of 2560 x 1800. The Nexus 7 2016 will get a powerful processor, which could be a Kirin 950 or NVidia Tegra X1, or even the Snapdragon 810. This phone should also have decent RAM which could be either 2 GB or even 4 GB. There are also reports that suggest that the Nexus 7 2016 will get a nice 12 MP camera at the back and a 5 MP front camera.
Finally, we can understand that Google wants to introduce some major changes to its Nexus 2016 and it may even develop the device in-house. This is perhaps a step that will help the company gain more control over the making of the next generation of Nexus devices. Thus, it may not give Huawei a free hand in the making of the Nexus 2016 and in this it is taking a leaf out of Apple’s playbook by doing most of the manufacturing on its own.
