The last time the Google Nexus 7 was new is back in 2013, however, the time for a new Nexus 7 2016 has come, with Huawei believed to be the mastermind.
The search engine giant is getting ready to unveil a new Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet that will be coming in later this year. The tablet is expected to take advantage of the new tablet-based features that have been added to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, features that are led by multi-window view, among others. Many details have popped up regarding the new Google Pixel phones, however, there is little that has been coming out with respect to the Nexus 7 2016 tablet.
According to the latest reports, Google Nexus 7 2016 will be ready for preorders immediately it is unveiled later this year. Famous smartphone leaker Evan Blass believes that the Huawei-made Nexus 7 2016 tablet will still keep the 7-inch display size, but this time expect a high-quality AMOLED panel with QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This is not all as the same person also adds that the new tablet will pack a massive RAM of 4GB, something we only see on major smartphone flagships.
Further under the hood, the Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet will come with a Snapdragon 820 processor that is paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and inbuilt storage of 64GB. Don’t expect anything to do with a microSD card slot, but you can expect the latest version of Android 7.1 Nougat to come preinstalled on the device out of the box.
Huawei will equip the Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet with a 13MP snapper on the back and even though advanced camera features are expected on board, there are no specifics so far. There is a USB Type-C port for charging the massive 5100mAh battery unit packed on the tablet. Still, there is little to worry about since the device will reportedly come with support for the latest Quick Charge 3.0 technology from Qualcomm.
Google has an event coming on October 4. While the event is expected to bring to life the Google Pixel phones, it also appears that Huawei will have wrapped up things in readiness for the same event as far as Nexus 7 2016 is concerned. As noted earlier, the device should be available for preorders on the same day. Given the scarce details regarding the price of the tablet, it will be interesting to see what Google will value the device at, especially when looking at the flagship specs it brings to the table.
Keep in mind that neither Google nor HTC has confirmed any of these reports, so you better take them with some level of skepticism.
