Grand Theft Auto 5 Loading Time On PS5 Much Faster Than PS4

GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 was launched on 17 September 2013.

The game is all set to complete a decade since its release next year but its popularity, instead of dwindling down, has only grown with time. Very few games see the kind of rise that GTA 5 has witnessed in nine years. This is the reason Rockstar Games, despite working on the development process of GTA 6, is still bringing new innovation to GTA 5.

Today (March 15) is an important day for GTA 5 fans as the game finally gets a launch on current generation platforms like the PlayStation 5. While testing the game on PS5, you come across an interesting observation. While getting the game booted from the main menu into the story mode, you find the PS5 version taking around 27 seconds to load. When compared to the loading time of PS4, this is quite impressive. The PS4 version of GTA 5 would take around 90 seconds or a minute and a half to load.

The PS5 version of GTA 5 does not load as fast as a bunch of other prominent games that can be played on the system. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, for instance, takes just a few seconds to load on PS5. Having said that, the kind of loading speed GTA 5’s PS5 version has exhibited is very impressive and as stated earlier, a massive improvement on the loading speed of the PS4.

If you further compare the PS4 and PS5 versions of GTA 5, you will realize the latter boasts of several other improvements. The PS5 version looks far more colorful and vibrant than the PS4 version. It also appears to be much sharper than the older version. Graphically, the PS5 version is much stronger than the PS4 version.
