Here’re the Alleged Apple iPhone 7 Plus (Pro) Photos

iPhone 7 Plus

As each day passes by, new information surfaces about the upcoming iPhone 7. However, the latest revelations focus on the larger iPhone 7 Plus, which other reports claim will be known as iPhone 7 Pro.

According to images posted on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the new iPhone 7 Plus will keep a number of the hardware specs that we are used to seeing with the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6S Plus. If the photos are to be believed, the iPhone 7 Pro will pack a similar 5.5-inch display screen size, just like its predecessors. As of now, it cannot be determined how exactly the said iPhone 7 Plus posts were obtained, but in today’s world, even the most secure systems are hackable, something that Apple has a testimony of.

Even though there still some skeptic thinking about the new images, the fact that Apple-centric website 9to5 Mac has come in with the same images points to some level of genuineness in the same information. However, with none of the reports coming directly from Apple, it is better to indeed remain skeptic about the alleged iPhone 7 Plus photos.

Apple is known for its high-level secrets, something that throws the latest leaks into further doubt. But given that a series of rumors and speculations have been showing up with respect to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, showing minimal design changes when compared to the previous handsets, it is also easy to believe these images. The minimal design changes include pushing of the antenna lines to the edges of the phone rather than have them on the back as before. You also get a slightly redesigned chassis, but lots of iPhone 6S looks are retained.

Smart Connector for iPhone 7 Plus (Pro)

If some of the incoming reports are also to be believed, we might see three variants of the Apple iPhone 7 – a standard 4.7-inch variant and two 5.5-inch variants namely iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro. In the latest leaks, it is possible that we might be looking at the first photos of the upcoming iPhone 7 Pro. Of course, it is possible that this is an iPhone 7 Plus since it comes with a dual-lens camera on the back, just like rumors have suggested.

Interestingly, the leaked iPhone 7 Plus photo shows that Apple has dumped the mute button like it did with the iPad Pro lineup, instead, the phone has a Smart Connector on board. Using a Smart Connector, it is possible to attach other accessories to the device, including a physical keyboard, but this feature is currently limited to the iPad Pro range of tablets. With the belief that the Smart Connector could be making its way to other Apple devices, the iPhone 7 Plus or Pro for that matter, could just be the first of them.
