Huawei P10 and P10 Lite UAProf Listing Confirms Full HD Resolution and Android 7.0 Nougat

Huawei P10

We’ve seen just about every rumor, speculation and leak about the upcoming Huawei P10, P10 Plus, and P10 Lite – be it the variants, images of their looks, benchmarks, and even prices.

If anything, all details of the Huawei P10 series are out there, but they are yet to be confirmed by the Chinese OEM. In a new leak that has come in courtesy of the User Agent Profile or simply UAProf, the Huawei P10 and P10 Lite have been confirmed to be coming with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Like with previous occasions, the two phones will share the same display resolution and probably the screen size. Even though the rest of the specs have not been leaked out together with this latest leak, the two phones should come with different configurations under the hood.

Apparently, the Huawei P10 has been listed with model number VTR-L09 while the P10 Lite comes with model number VKY-L09. Other than these details, the listing gives out nothing else about the two Huawei phones. But if previously released devices are to be looked at, the two P10 phones should ship with the same 5.2-inch screen, same as the P9 and P9 Lite. Last year’s models also shared the same battery capacity of 3000mAh. It is possible that the incoming models could ship with the same battery capacity, but include chipsets that are better at handling battery energy when compared to their predecessors.

Rumor has it that the Huawei P10 could ship with the same chipset as the Mate 9 – a Kirin 960 SoC – alongside 4GB or 6GB RAM. On the other hand, the P10 Lite may come with a Kirin 655 SoC on board alongside 3GB or 4GB of RAM. However, don’t expect a Leica-branded camera on the back of the Lite variant as with the case of the P10 and P10 Plus.

Speaking of the Huawei P10 Plus, the company could unveil this high-end model alongside the other two phones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, but this cannot be confirmed at the moment. The show takes place in about two weeks’ time, starting February 27th. We’ll for sure know more details about these two Huawei phones – VKY-L09 and VTR-L09 – in the coming days. Stay tuned!
