iPhone 7 and its brother iPhone 7 Plus are set to be released this coming September and go on sale the same month.
With Apple sticking to its traditions of keeping everything about its upcoming products locked up in a safe until the day of release, all we can do with for now are rumors, speculations, and leaks. At the moment, there are quite a number of leaks that have been spreading with respect to the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus.
It has been claimed that Apple will be coming in with a third variant of the phone known as iPhone 7 Pro. This phone is expected to be an even better version of the iPhone 7 Plus, but there are other reports suggesting that the usual will remain, with the company coming in with two phones namely the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Reports have been rife that Apple will be packing a dual-camera system in the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus. According to new leaked photos of the phablet, the dual-camera system seems to be a confirmed feature. If this leak is to be believed, then it is possible that this feature will only be availed on the 5.5-inch model and not the 4.7-inch variant. In addition, the schematics reveal that the smaller iPhone 7 will only come with a larger unit, but still a single camera configuration. This means that you will probably have an iPhone 7 that manages much better shots than the current iPhone 6S.
The good side of the story is that while the iPhone 7 Plus will be packing a dual-camera setup, the smaller iPhone 7 will for the first time come with optical image stabilization. This is a feature that has previously been reserved for the 5.5-inch models, beginning with 2014’s iPhone 6 Plus.
No Smart Connector on iPhone 7
Earlier rumors had been pointing towards a Smart Connector coming with the next iPhone flagship. This feature was introduced with the new line of iPad Pro, but it seems iPhone users will have to wait until 2017 or the following year before taking advantage of this feature on their devices.
It is also possible that iPhone 7 Plus will be the only model coming in with a 256GB storage option. This means that the smaller iPhone 7 will stick to the usual 16GB, 64GB and 128GB options. While the 16GB model is expected to be retained for all variants, it seems the Plus model will be dropping the 128GB option in favor of the larger 256GB.
Given that the current stories regarding the iPhone 7 Plus are based on mere rumors and speculations, it is important not to trust everything here. Still, we’ll keep following up the stories as they unfold to bring you the latest developments regarding the iPhone 7.
