After three full months since its reveal, the Kia Grand Carnival is finally going to hit the stores.
The wait was really long despite the company announcing the specifications and pricing for the model.
The large eight seater MPV model which has been designed for demanding conditions with powerful engine and a luxurious finish is finally going to go on sale in the first quarter of 2017. It is expected that the event will take place next month and the vehicle will be available in stores as soon as the event ends. The confirmation was made by Naza Kia and the brand’s representatives added that they had a fairly difficult 2016. Production volumes of the car went down but they are slowly catching up in 2017.
Designed for the budget conscious buyer, the vehicle’s primary models will be diesel powered. Two different models will be available on launch, both running on diesel engines priced at RM153,888 for the entry level variant. The higher end model will cost RM181,888. The Naza Kia adds that the company’s future value scheme ensures there will be enough resale value for the large MPV after five years making it the right investment that people could make today. All these are made to convince buyers in the particular region who expect them besides reliable performance.
The front fascia of the Kia Grand Carnival houses large LED daytime running lights, front and rear fog lights combined with LED taillights. The model is huge and is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the car has manual fabric seats with lumbar adjustment, manual sliding doors and a small 4.3-inch infotainment display system. It also has a 3.5-inch monochrome OLED display combined with six speakers for entertainment on the go. There is a reverse camera attached in the car which is mandatory to navigate such a large vehicle in tight corners.
Nifty features found in the Kia Grand Carnival include keyless entry, triple zone climate control, power sliding doors and powered tailgate. The vehicle is also equipped to the brim with safety features like ABS, brake assist, hill start assist, six airbags, rear parking sensors and three point seat belts for all passengers. It is powered by a 2.2-liter four cylinder turbo diesel engine mated to six speed automatic transmission system. The engine produces about 193 PS with 440 Nm of Torque rendering enough power to keep the eight seater going easy even on every type of road.
