The 2019 BMW i8 Spyder is hot property that’s about to give a new face for the popular automobile brand.
The car has been spotted on road for the first time and it has been heavily camouflaged as expected.
The car is expected to go on sale in 2018 and based on the release date, it should be unveiled in an event this year. When it gets launched, BMW will launch it at the 2019 model in the second or third quarter of next year. Many of these information comes from the brand’s announcement and top executive interviews. This is the first time the actual model in flesh has been spotted in the wild.
The i8 Coupe was spotted in spy photos earlier and the new Spyder has some significant changes in it in terms of body style. The rear end features a vertical, compact rear window and the car also sports a redesigned engine cover. The individual rear wings add to the sporty look of the car making it very aggressive and futuristic compared to the old concept revealed in the year 2012.
Under the hood, the vehicle will be powered by a 1.5-liter inline engine mated to a six speed automatic transmission setup. The 2019 BMW i8 Spyder will be a hybrid variant which also sports an electric motor along with the petrol powertrain. The output capacity is pegged at 362 horsepower with 420 pound feet of torque which is pretty low considering the series this BMW vehicle belongs to.

The car will be equipped with the i Future Interaction infotainment system. The design allows passengers to easily communicate with the vehicle using their smart devices, touchscreen display and stay informed on the go. Once more information with regards to the car is available, it will be easier to decide whether this is the futuristic BMW car that fans are looking forward to own next year.
