T-Mobile has released a software update for the LG G8 ThinQ smartphone which was released in March this year.
The T-Mobile variant of the device is officially called the LG G8 ThinQ with model number LMG820TM or G820TM.
T-Mobile Pushes New Update for LG G8 ThinQ Units
The software update does not bring Android 10 to the G8 ThinQ, rather it doesn’t change the Android version from Android 9.0 (Pie) which the device originally shipped with. According to internal sources, the update is a maintenance update which can significantly improve the usability of the smartphone.

The changelog also mentions the same thing and it doesn’t go into details. The changelog reveals that the usability of the phone has been further improved. The update features an Android Security Patch level of October 1, 2019, while the November Android Security Patch has already been released.
