Following the recent Wi-Fi certifications and Geekbench listings of Samsung Galaxy J-series smartphones namely Galaxy J4 (SM-J400F) and Galaxy J6 (SM-J600F), the phones have now popped up on the FCC website, meaning their release is just around the corner.
Both devices run on Android Oreo 8.0 OS and we already know a few key specs of these phones from their Geekbench appearances. In addition to these specs, we now have a few key specs revealed from their FCC listings.
Samsung Galaxy J4 Hardware Specs
Dimensions revealed from FCC listing reads 152mm x 78mm x 162mm (diagonal). The display diagonal measures 140mm, which is equivalent to 5.5-inches.
Galaxy J4 will be a Dual SIM phone running Android 8.0 OS and Bluetooth version supported will be v4.2. There’s no support for NFC for this smartphone.
From the Geekbench listing, it can be found that the phone would come with 2GB RAM and be powered by Exynos 7570 Chipset with Quad core Cortex-A53 processor. It’s clear from these details that the display resolution would be 720p at most.
Samsung Galaxy J6 Hardware Specs
According to the dimensions obtained from FCC, Galaxy J6 would have a slightly bigger display of 5.6-inches. Here are the device dimensions: 146.3 mm x 67 mm x 155.5 mm (diagonal) and 142.8 mm display size.
From the device label, it’s evident that Galaxy J6 would miss the home button and come with Infinity display which has a display resolution of 18.5:9
Most of the other features are almost the same as Galaxy J6 however there was nothing mentioned about the battery capacity of this phone. We believe it would slightly higher than that of Galaxy J4. This phone has already been certified in a Bluetooth listing and supports v4.2 whereas Galaxy J4 is yet to be certified at Bluetooth but it can be confirmed from FCC.
From the Geekbench listing for Galaxy J6, we can see that the device is powered by Exynos 7870 chipset with Octa core processor. However, this phone would have 3GB RAM along with the slightly powerful processor.
The pricing is likely to be less than 200$ for these lower end smartphones.
