Motorola is about to make a huge announcement next week in Brazil which will make some of their best models for 2018 official.
With just a week to go for the event, speculations claim the company will launch Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play but they may have some surprise announcements as well.
Most other manufacturers are busy focusing on new technologies and innovating their smartphones but Motorola has been going steady on the tried and tested route. While the new Moto G series for 2018 will have latest innovations, it will continue to have everything buyers expect of it. The 3.5 mm audio jack, physical fingerprint sensor and a near bezel-less display will be there but at affordable rates making it a primary choice for buyers in most developing countries.
Motorola Moto E5 Plus Spotted in Geekbench
Motorola Moto E5 Plus was spotted in the benchmark results which has led to the speculation that it might actually get launched along with the Moto G6 and other variants. The phone managed to score an impressive 1835 in multi-core tests and 653 in single core tests. While the model would be less expensive than the Moto G6 Play, the scores indicate that its performance is no less and is slightly lower than what the G6 Play would offer.
Moto E5 Plus Hardware Specifications
Based on the information available through Geekbench listing, the Motorola E5 Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor. The entry-level processor is more than capable of handling daily tasks and should be powerful enough to handle most apps, games especially when paired with 3GB of RAM. Would there be another variant with 4GB RAM? We don’t think so but we have to wait and watch!
At the moment, we don’t have any other details about this device. However, we can confirm the following details with the model numbers, based on their certification in various countries.
- XT1922 – Moto G6 Play
- XT1925 – Moto G6
- XT1926 – Moto G6 Plus
- XT1944 – Moto E5
We are not sure about the model number of the E5 Plus yet though we believe it could be XT1924.
We also have some additional information from a tipster, which confirms a few more features.

Exploring Bezel-Less Design
Motorola is stepping into the world of bezel-less design and 18:9 aspect ratio for the first time with the new Moto G6 2018 series. Speculations confirmed that not only the G6 but the G6 Plus, G6 Play and even the E5 Plus budget variant will have the display providing a touch of sophistication to buyers.
The announcement was expected during MWC 2018 which has now been postponed and is expected to be announced on April 19th. An official confirmation from Motorola is all we need to get excited.
