Before the official launch, the Moto G5 panel and design got leaked numerous times.
The latest bunch of photos looks very close to the production model.
Based on the never ending list of leaked images, it is evident that the Moto G which is heading for launch on Feb 26th will be close to what we have seen so far. Most rumors claimed it will be out in the month of March. Going by the photos, the phone seems to be already circulating among customers in various formats. It has a strong focus on the Asian market but will also be available in other parts of the world with an affordable price tag.
The newest pictures show a fully metal back and a major part of the phone is done using metal. We expect the Moto G5 as well as the bigger Moto G5 Plus to sport glass in the sides to favor better signal reception. But, given the fact that Xiaomi has gone all metal with their newest models, Motorola may adopt the same strategy. Another picture shows the fingerprint scanner which looks a lot like the Samsung galaxy devices with a recess design. It is to be seen how it works but rumors claim that the company may choose to remove onscreen buttons.

The single fingerprint sensor will also be used as a button that allows you to do a couple of functions. Sliding the button to the left will go back on screen and when you slide to the right, it will open the multi-tasking screen. By removing the three buttons from the Android operating system, the company opines they can offer more screen real estate to their users. Besides, with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system there is an option to use two apps at once on the screen. The extra space could be useful for those opting for the Moto G5 and G5 Plus smartphones.
Rumored specifications of the smartphone’s Plus edition are a 5.5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. However, another rumor claims it will use Snapdragon 625 with 2GB or 3GB RAM variants. There is 32GB of internal storage space, micro SD card support, dual SIM with 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera. The phone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with 2800 mAh battery. With best pricing, Moto G5 Plus and G5 could be another successful follow up in the Moto G series.
