Moto M to Receive Android Nougat Update Soon

Motorola Moto M

The newly released phone, Moto M is going on a good run as people have embraced the mid-ranged phone for its reliable specifications at an affordable rate. The phone has filled yet another gap in the Motorola lineup.

Under the shell, the Moto M is powered by a MediaTek Helio P15 chipset which is an octa core CPU and is clocked at 2.2 GHz. Almost all the reviewers who had the opportunity to test the phone confirmed it worked well and also houses a Mali T860MP 2 GPU for your gaming needs. Most tests confirmed that it runs all entry level and mid-range gaming with ease while top of the line titles that demand much graphics perform with slightly lower graphics.

In terms of overall design, the Motorola M features a large 5.5-inch LCD display which has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The pixel count is very common in most phones and Motorola has been using it for some time now as it has found a sweet spot among most buyers. While the flagship models are trying to move towards qHD displays which continue to take a huge toll on battery life, Motorola has been playing safe for many years now.

At first, the brand started with 720p displays but have moved to 1080p displays but didn’t try to push their resolution too far except for select phones. With everything set, the only thing missing the Moto M was the fact that the phone was running on an older version of the Android operating system. Things have changed now as Google and Motorola has confirmed that they are rolling out 7.0 Nougat, the latest version of the operating system to the phone.

Make sure your phone is ready to receive the update. The notification will roll out to all users who have recently purchased the model. It is important that you have full battery and is connected to a fast Wifi network so that you can download the large file. Being a solo operating system of its own, obviously the size of the file will be much higher than the in-between security updates and needs some storage space for Nougat to be successfully installed.

Android 7.0 will bring a long list of useful and user-friendly upgrades to the Motorola Moto M phone including battery, new notification panel, Doze function that closes apps automatically when they are not used for long and many improvements to make Android better than it already is.
