In December, Google Project Fi started rewarding new customers with a $20 credit towards their monthly bill via a referral program.
In early January, Project Fi extended this program indefinitely, but it has now taken this same program to the next level with a bunch of new prizes. The company has unveiled a new Referral Challenge that will allow users of Fi or rather those taking part in the program to win lots of prizes.
The new Fi Referral Challenge is already up and running following its launch yesterday and it will be on until September 25th. In addition to earning yourself a cool $20 for each referral, Project Fi users will also be able to get into three prize categories. Two referrals will earn you another $20 Google Play Credit and if you can manage to lure five people into joining Fi, you will get a “Fi weekender bag.”
There’s a top prize in this program, where the Google MVNO will reward top 3 referrers with a trip to the company’s HQ that is based in Mountain View, California. However, there’s a limit to the amount of credit you can earn, which is still not bad at $2000 or 100 referrals.
To get into the new Google Project Fi Referral Challenge, check into your Fi account page on the web and you should see a banner at the top of the home page with details of the contest alongside a new “Share the Fi love” tab. Participants can get into the contest by explicitly tapping on the Get Started button and the page will then start tracking your referrals alongside your progress towards earning the other prizes in the competition.
You will also be able to see your referral link as well as social media buttons for sharing the link with friends and family. There’s also a toggle to leave the contest if you feel like.
