The 2018 Facelifted edition of the Ford Mustang is ready to hit dealership stores and when it does, it is going to surprise a lot of people in the United States.

The car has received a significant power boost made to satisfy even the most demanding car enthusiasts of them all.

Under the hood, the new Mustang will be powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine while the potent variant will have a much more powerful 5.0-liter engine to justify the GT tag. The GT edition will sport a V8 engine which is capable of producing a massive 306 horsepower, something very few cars can boast off. The performance is further tweaked with a Drag Strip mode which boosts the engine output when the car travels in a straight line for long time, at top speed. It is capable of going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in four seconds when the mode is switched on.

The specifications pertain to the model scheduled to get launched in the United States. The UK and European variants may have some stark difference owing to local emission rules. The company has more freedom in the U.S. because it is their home region and has a strong fan following whereas their popularity is slightly less in other countries though. They might find potential buyers in the UK if they could provide similar levels of performance and not compromise too much on output.

In terms of design, the Mustang engineers have done their best by making a lot of minor yet effective changes. It includes the newly designed, slimmer air intake which are accentuated by two additional triangular air intakes and an angular bumper. All these when put together provide a whole new level of sporty looks and aerodynamics to keep the car going as fast as possible when on the road. The bonnet is lower that avoids the bulky look and provides a clean, sleek front fascia for the 2018 Ford Mustang.

It even features customizable layout making it more intuitive unlike the analog dials used in older versions. MyMode is another exclusive option to boost the driving experience.
