After starting life as a sub-$40,000 SUV, the addition of significant amount of tech has resulted in the 2017 Nissan Armada being priced at $45,395. It represents an addition of $5890 over the original variant.
Incredibly, the $45,395 price is only for the two-wheel drive SV variant. For this price, the vehicle is equipped with aspects like Nissan navigation, BOSE audio system with 13 speakers, heated seats in the front, and an 8-inch infotainment system. Going up to the SL model, customers will have to pay $50,145. The price then increases to a very steep $58,085 for the platinum variant. Four-wheel drive option on all these variants comes at an extra price of $2900.
All 2017 Nissan Armada vehicles will be equipped with a 5.6 L V8 powertrain which develops 390 bhp and 401lb-ft of torque. These figures represent a 73 bhp increase in terms of power and 16 lb-ft increase in terms of torque. All vehicles will be powered by a seven speed automatic gearbox. Being a very large SUV, the towing capacity of the vehicle also comes into play. The gearbox coupled with the extremely powerful mode helps the 2017 Nissan Armada with a towing capacity of 8500 pounds. The towing capacity is similar for both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants.
Even though prices have increased significantly, customers will also be getting a range of safety features decided to make the 2017 Nissan Armada one of the safest SUVs around. The vehicle comes equipped with a monitor that can detect moving objects on all sides, backup collision intervention, forward collision warning which is predictive, and blind spot monitoring techniques. The price increase, though, leaves Nissan with enough room to sell the Infiniti QX80 as well. The Infiniti QX80 is a luxury SUV with a starting price of $64,245.
