A new Lenovo tablet with model numbers PB-6505M and PB-6505MC has been approved by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. Preliminary assumptions suggest that it could be the new Lenovo Phab model.

The same model numbers recently appeared in the list of Google Play supported devices with the moniker Lenovo Tab V7. Nothing much has been revealed and we await more details on this tab.

Through the FCC listing, the dimensions and battery size of the Lenovo PB-6505M device have been revealed.
The Lenovo PB-6505M’s description on FCC’s database reveals that it is a portable tablet computer. The dimensions of the device 178 x 86 mm and it diagonally measures 198 mm which suggests the device could be equipped with a display of more than 7 inches and close to 7.8 inches.

The tablet is packed with a 5,180 mAh battery and it carries support for dual-band Wi-Fi. The rear side of the device features a camera followed by an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner.
Lenovo Phab 3 Speculations
The recently launched Lenovo tablets such as Tab E8, Tab P10, Tab M10, Tab E7 and Tab E10 have respective model numbers starting with TB such as TB-8304F, TB-X705F, TBX605F, TB-7104F and TB-X104F. The Lenovo Phab series that were launched between 2015 and 2017 featured phablet devices with massive displays and big batteries.

For instance, the first Lenovo Phab (PB1-750M) model from 2015 came with 6.98-inch HD display and 4,250 mAh battery while the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro (PB2-690M) which was the last model in the series came with 6.4-inch display and 4,050 mAh battery. After Phab 2 Pro, Lenovo did not release any Phab device.The Lenovo Phab devices have had model numbers starting with PB. Hence, it is speculated that the newly spotted Lenovo PB-6505M/MC could be he Lenovo Phab 3.
The Lenovo PB-6505M/MC does feature a massive phablet like form factor with a huge display. Readers should be aware of the fact there is no concrete evidence to prove it indeed is the Phab 3 and it’s only the model number based on which we speculate. Hence, you are advised to digest the speculations regarding the moniker of the device with a grain of salt.
