Sony Xperia XA2 Plus (Codename: Voyager) Receives Official TWRP Update

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus

Team Win has now made available its recovery project, popularly referred to as TWRP, for the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus.

Developers’ community owning this device can now add the TWRP feature on their phones and make the changes they wish to do and use the phone for the kind of work they carry on. This is an Android only tool and is described as a custom Android recovery tool. It has caught the fancy of the developers since it enables them to install custom ROMs and later deploy the device to work on coding or other functions. This would not be possible without the TWRP or other equivalent recovery tool.

Don’t Damage Your Device

One of the first things you will notice when you visit the Team Win site will be their warning that the TWRP installation on your mobile device has to be handled with a lot of care. Ideally, you must be quite conversant with the technology and the procedures. It is not for the ordinary and regular user of mobile phones.

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus One of the Recent Releases

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is a smartphone made available to the market not very long back. This 6 inch display phone has been in the market only since September last year. The phone has a full HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen to ratio of around 79%, modest by current standards you would say. For the record the screen resolution is 1080 x 2160pixels and the pixel density of 402 ppi. The screen has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The processor on this phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC with a capable 6 GB RAM support. These will stand the device in good stead, when the TWRP gets installed. A 3580 mAh battery means you won’t be having too much difficulty using the phone over a longer duration without the phone going down on charge. The camera section is adequately represented by a 23 MP sensor in the back and an 8 MP selfie camera in the front.

If you own a Sony Xperia XA2 Plus and you are keen on downloading the TWRP update head to the Team Win site and follow the guide given there.
