The much-awaited console might release in different markets on different days.
Earlier this year, the first look of Nintendo Switch 2 was unveiled for the world to see. Through a video, Nintendo offered people a glimpse of the new hardware it has put together. The first look of the Nintendo Switch 2 left the gaming community highly impressed and it looked forward to its arrival in the following months.
As per an industry insider, the pre-orders for the Switch 2 will open up on April 9. The insider has also stated that the start date for Switch 2 pre-orders will differ from country to country. After making a formal announcement about the Switch 2 on January 16, Nintendo has not shared any important update about the game in official capacity. The Japanese multinational video game company, however, had stated that it will share further details about the hardware on April 2.

The U.S. pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will open a week after the aforementioned event takes place on April 2. As per an industry report, an unnamed company plans to sell out all Switch inventory on April 9. This is happening despite Nintendo being successful at importing a large volume of Switch 2 units into the U.S.
Recently, Best Buy Canada made an official announcement about accepting pre-orders for Switch 2 from April 2. If the update provided by the insider turns out to be correct, the pre-order for the console will differ from country to country. The announcement made by Best Buy Canada did not feature any pricing details. These details, as stated earlier, should be out during the upcoming Nintendo Direct. The event, scheduled for April 2, should also provide fans with new information on the launch game lineup of the console. Along with that, fans should also expect to get some pertinent information on the different features on the console including the much talked about mysterious button placed on the right Joy-Con.
As per the report, Switch 2 is being readied for a June 2025 launch. Rumors around the console being launched in June were floating around for a long time and many analysts, too, backed them.

Though Switch 2 is scheduled to have a wide, international release, the console would not be releasing in every market on the same day. Switch, which was launched in 2017, had a late release in several countries including Brazil and China.
According to industry analysts, the Switch 2 will be priced higher than its predecessor which came with a price tag of $299. While nothing is confirmed as yet, early predictions put the price of the Switch 2 between $399 and $499. If these predictions turn out to be true, the Switch 2 would emerge as the most expensive console rolled out by Nintendo till date.
