Nokia G21 Geekbench Listing Reveals Unisoc T606 Chip, 4GB RAM

Nokia G21 has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site today. The listing has revealed that it is powered by the Unisoc T606 chip.

Reports have revealed that the model numbers such as TA-1401, TA-1404, TA-1405, TA-1412, TA-1415, and TA-1418 are associated with the Nokia G21 handset. Apart from appearing at Geekbench, the handset has been also spotted at the FCC certification platform in the recent past. These findings show that the Nokia G21 may soon launch in multiple markets.

The Nokia G21’s Geekbench listing shows that it is powered by an octa-core Unisoc chipset that offers a base frequency of 1.61GHz. This is the T606 chipset and is coupled with 4GB of RAM, and it boots to Android 11 OS.

The ‘ShadowcatPlus’ text mentioned in the motherboard field of the listing is the codenamed of the Nokia G21. The device scored 312 points in the single-core and 1157 points in the multi-core test of Geekbench. Rumors surrounding the G21 have claimed that it is powered by the 1.8GHz Unisoc T610 chipset. However, G21’s Unisoc chip clocks at 1.6GHz, which indicates it could be featuring a different Unisoc chip. As confirmed by this Geekbench listing, it is the T606 chipset.

The unannounced G21 was recently spotted at a Russian retailer site through which some of its specifications were revealed. The listing stated that it has a 6.5-inch LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution, an 8MP front camera, and a 50MP + 2MP + 2MP triple camera unit.

The images of the Nokia G21 that were found through the FCC documents revealed that it has a waterdrop notch display and a rectangle-shaped camera module.

The handset may arrive in variants like 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The device may pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. At present, there is no information on the pricing of the device.
