When a new phone nears the release date, there are bound to be leaks or rumors regarding the specs and other details of the phone.
The OnePlus 3 has also seen its fair share of leaks and rumors. It is possible to pick this phone in VR.
The OnePLus 3 is an upcoming smartphone and is to be launched with amazing VR (virtual reality), with users being offered free VR headsets for enjoying the show. This was an announcement that confirmed the name of the new smartphone and as soon as the announced Loop headsets are delivered, it will be launched.
Basic Specs
Recently, the basic specifications of the yet to be released OnePlus 3 were leaked by Evan Blass, the famous leakster. The OnePlus 3 is a new and upcoming smartphone that is expected to come with a touchscreen screen size of 5.5 inches and a display resolution of 1080 pixels. The camera is supposed to be a 16 MP one for the rear. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 820, chipset and will have 64 GB of internal storage, offering NFS support. The display is an AMOLED type and the battery will be powered at 3000 mAh.
Its predecessor, the OnePlus 2 did not have the NFC support feature, so it is a welcome surprise to note that the new phone has included it. As for the software specs, the company is testing the Android N on the phone, but it is possible that it will be shipped with the Marshmallow version of Android.
A Combo of Sorts
Based on the specs leaked by Evan Blass, it seems that the OnePlus 3 will be a combination of the iPhone 6 and the HTC One M9. Evan Blass has shared a tweet on Twitter, showing a screen shot of the phone running on Android N and with OxygenOS included in it.
VR Experience
The OnePlus 3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon, 820 chip, equal to one of the best flagship phones in the market today. There are some rumors suggesting that the RAM could be around 6 GB, which will make the VR experience very slick. The storage is 64 GB, so it is possible that there is no microSD card, though it is possible that there are other versions with differing storage capacity.
Camera
The camera is expected to be 16 MP on the rear of the phone, compared to the 13 MP camera on the predecessor, the OnePlus 2. This is an increment and the new phone is likely to have the latest generation sensor hardware. The resolution of the camera does not always give us the complete picture, as there are many other features that are important for a phone camera.
Date of Release
It is expected that the OnePlus headsets for the VR will be shipped on 6th June, so the phone is likely to be released in the near future.
Selfie LeakedThe latest leak shows a sample selfie that was shot with this phone using the front camera. The CEO Liu Zuohu has shared the image through Weibo. The picture has been taken in low light conditions and the resolution seems to be 2448 x 3264 pixels, making it an 8 MP front camera. The renders of the phone don’t show any front facing flash, so the flash effects seen on the picture are supposed to be the fill flash.
