Oppo Find 9 to come with two variants featuring Snapdragon 835 and Snapdragon 653 chips – Check out the price

Oppo Find 9

In mid-January, a rumor popped up pointing out that the Oppo Find 9 will be launched somewhere in March, but up to now, there is no official communication from the company.

Now, in fresh leaks, more details about this rumored Oppo Find 9 are coming in and apparently, the Chinese OEM is working on two variants of this phone. In fact, the leaked info gives out the specs and prices of these two variants of the Find 9.

Where one variant of the Oppo Find 9 will be targeting the high-end market, the other variant will be looking to cement the company’s position in the midrange market as well. The former will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 while the latter will come in with a Snapdragon 653 chipset. In a previous rumor, it had been revealed that the Find 9 will be a flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 835, but news of the lower-end model are completely new.

The Oppo Find 9 had been rumored to be pondering on pairing the Snapdragon 835 processor with a huge 8GB RAM, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. According to the new leak, which also says that this phone’s design will have lots of similarities with the Nubian Z11, the flagship variant will ship with 6GB of RAM. This will also be paired with 128GB of expandable storage.

Apart from the miss on the 8GB RAM aspect, the rest of the specs remain the same as compared to previous leaks. The front camera will ship with a 16MP shooter while the back will come with a 21MP shooter. To keep the lights on, there will be a huge 4100mAh battery. This same battery unit will also be used on the Snapdragon 653 variant, same as the 5.5-inch 2K screen and cameras. However, the mid-range model will ship with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

As for the price, the Oppo Find 9 will reportedly start from CNY 3,999, which is approximately $580.

Keep in mind that this is just a rumor and as such, do take it with a grain of salt, at least until Oppo issues an official statement on the phone and its expected launch.
