Oppo and Vivo are at work on their next-generation foldable smartphones, Oppo Find N5 and Vivo X Fold 4. While various leaks have surfaced in the past about the OPPO foldable series, there has been no news so far about the Vivo handset.
A new leak has now been released by tipster Smart Pikachu with some details about the launch timeframe, chipset and camera of the two foldables. Although the leak does not explicitly reveal the name of the smartphones, it is safe to assume that they refer to that the handsets mentioned are referred to the Oppo Find N5 and Vivo X Fold 4.
Launch Timeline
Going by the leak, the Find N5 and X Fold 4 will arrive in the home market in China in the first quarter of next year. This timeframe matches the speculative launch details shared by another well-known tipster Digital Chat Station.

Chipset Specifications
The leak hints that the smartphones will be equipped with the same processor. Both OPPO Find N5 and Vivo X Fold 4 will house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset that is scheduled for an October release under their hoods. They will be the first foldable smartphones to use this processor. The present generation smartphones feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
OPPO Find N5 and Vivo X Fold 4 Camera Setup
If the leak is anything to go by, the camera setup of the smartphones will remain unchanged from their predecessors. The Find N5 and X Fold 4 will retain the familiar circular camera module in the present generation.
Other Oppo Find N5 Specifications
Earlier leaks reveal that the Find N5 will have a waterproof design, a 50 MP triple-camera setup at the back, and displays with 2K resolution. The smartphone will have a 6000 mAh battery and be slimmer than its predecessor.

The OPPO Find N5 is slated to be globally available after rebranding as the OnePlus Open 2. It is also unclear if there will be a Vivo X Fold 4 series featuring the X Fold 4 and the X Fold 4 Pro like now. Also, although the tipster mentions Vivo X Fold 4, the manufacturer may eventually name the smartphone Vivo X Fold 5 as the Chinese are skeptical about the number 4. Interestingly, the OPPO Find N5 is the successor of the OPPO Find N3.
