The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia gets ready to hit the roads with best prices starting at just $38,990.
Prices for the vehicle have just been announced as it prepares to go on sale in January. Even though it seems like a mid-size sedan in terms of pricing for the base variant, it is possible to go up to $73,595 for the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, which is a high-performance variant.
The base portion of the vehicle gets a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that develops 280 bhp and 306 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle will come with an eight speed automatic transmission just like every other variant. The United States does not get a manual option. However, it is possible to get the vehicle with all-wheel drive for $2000 extra. Even the base variant comes with features like leather seats, rear view camera, LED daytime running lights, smart keyless entry, push button start, remote start function, and rear parking sensors. It is possible to add features like an 18-inch alloy wheel, painted brake calipers, and gloss black windows for just $1200.
At this price, the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is able to be even cheaper than the BMW 330i. The German car starts at $39,745 making it slightly more expensive.
The Ti variant is priced at $ 40,990 and it comes with the same engine options as the base variant. However, it does get more luxury in the form of an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated steering wheel, real wood for the interiors, and heated front seats. It is possible to improve this variant with two packages – Ti Lusso and Ti Sport. These packages provide the same benefits as in the base trim but with the added advantage of getting aluminum paddle shifters.
The performance package brings in aspects like adaptive suspension, limited slip differential, and paddle shifters. Pricing of this package is not yet available.
A direct competitor for the BMW M3 and the Mercedes C 63 AMG, the Quadrifoglio will be coming in with a pricetag of $73,595 including destination charges. The vehicle comes with a 2.9-liter engine with six cylinders developing 505 bhp and 443 lb-ft of torque. In order to boost performance, the vehicle gets features like an active front splitter, the ability to choose driving modes, Brembo breaks, leather sport seats, and carbon fiber for the interior trim. The Quadrifoglio variant will be available starting from this month.
