Red Magic 7S (NX679S) Spotted at 3C Certification, May Launch Soon

Red Magic 7S (model number NX679S) has bagged approval from the 3C authority of China. It will be arriving as an updated version of the Red Magic 7.

With 3C certification in tow, it appears that the smartphone will go official soon in China. Hopefully, it will soon appear in the database of the TENAA certification site with key specifications in the coming days.

The 3C listing of the Red Magic 7S shows that it may ship with a 165W fast charger. The Red Magic 7 Pro was also spotted with a 165W charger at the 3C certification before its official announcement. However, it debuted with a 135W charger. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the company will really offer the Red Magic 7S with a 165W charger.

A Nubia device with an NX709S model number was spotted with a 165W charger at the 3C certification site on May 27. Speculations are rife that the NX709S device may launch in the Chinese market with the Red Magic 7S Pro moniker. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the other specs of the Red Magic 7S series.

The Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro debuted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 onboard. Hence, it is likely that the upcoming Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro could be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

The Red Magic 7 Pro was the first phone from the gaming-focused brand to feature an under-display selfie camera. It appears that the Red Magic 7S Pro may debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered phone with an under-display selfie camera. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know what specs will be made available on the Red Magic 7S lineup.
