GameStop Restocks Its PlayStation 5 Bundles At Its Stores

In five months, PlayStation 5 will complete two years of its release.

Despite the enormous popularity of the console (or perhaps, because of it), the product has suffered from supply issues. While the company was facing a shortage of chips for a while, the pandemic further aggravated the issues because of which it was not getting manufactured in larger quantities. While the company has been trying to deal with the issue, consumers are getting increasingly frustrated with time.

In the last year, PS5 has been restocked in several major retail stores. However, a lot of these units were reserved for those who had taken up different types of memberships issued by the company. PS5 has been restocked in many retail stores like GameStop, Walmart and Best Buy. However, in-store restocks need to happen frequently as there is a lot of demand for the product.

GameStop has started the process of restocking PS5 bundles in all of its brick and mortar stores based in the United States from today, that is, May 28. It is important to note that the retail stores of GameStop in Guam, Hawaii and Alaska will not be restocking PS5. At the moment, there is no clarity about the period till which the sale will be conducted. Therefore, if you have been planning to get your hands on a PS5, it would be best to visit a GameStop store right away. To be able to buy a PS5 from a GameStop store, an individual needs to have a PowerUp Rewards Pro membership.

Till now, GameStop has not offered any clarification on the price and contents of the bundles. Though Sony recently made an announcement about a Horizon Forbidden West PS5 bundle, this one is expected to be a standard bundle. It should feature a game, new controllers along with a PS Plus subscription. One can vaguely guess what would be inside the bundle but it’s still quite difficult to determine the price at which it will be sold.

For the next couple of weeks, PS5 owners can look forward to a lot of exciting things coming their way. While the next State of Play event will be organized on June 2, there is a good chance of the Final Fantasy 16 trailer getting launched in the days to come. There is a lot of buzz around PS Plus Premium which has been scheduled for a June 13 release.
