Just yesterday, Meizu gave us an official launch date for the rumored Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus.
While the details had the exact launch date alongside the time of the conference, there was no mention of the specs and features that the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will bring to the table. Nonetheless, the phones have been in the rumor mills for quite some time now and through them, we have an idea of what to expect.
According to the rumors, the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will reportedly come powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 processor paired with either 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM on the high-end Pro 7 Plus model. If anything, this was the case until now, with fresh reports suggesting that the entry-level model will come with the latest midrange processor from MediaTek dubbed Helio P25.
It had been pointed out that the entry-level model will ship with a 6GB RAM and another 8GB RAM variant, but it’s known that the Helio P25 can only handle up to 6GB RAM. If anything, the base model of the standard Meizu Pro 7 should feature a 4GB RAM, with the high-end Pro 7 Plus taking this RAM war to the 8GB limit, just like the OnePlus 5 and ZTE Nubia Z17.
Note that none of these is confirmed, but since the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will be here next week, we should find out the exact specs of the phones then. As for now, take these reports with a grain of salt.
