Rumor: GTA Online Update Might Bring Back GTA 5 Protagonist

While GTA fans are keenly looking forward to the arrival of Grand Theft Auto 6, they are quite aware of the fact that it will take a long time for the game to be launched.

At the moment, there is a lot of anticipation in the GTA community for the next major update for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rockstar Games is not known to share any information or hint about its forthcoming updates. Therefore, fans are not sure as to what they should expect from the next GTA Online update. A new clue, however, has been provided by Ned Luke, who serves as the voice actor for the character Michael.

Recently, one heard rumors about Michael, the very popular GTA 5 protagonist, staging a comeback through a new GTA Online update. Franklin, another popular character, returned to the franchise in a similar manner. Data mines have dropped hints about the arrival of a new NPC in GTA Online that has been described as a ‘movie set’ closer to Record A Studios.

The Contract Mission by GTA has already stated that Michael is presently employed by Solomon Richards and is busy working at the film studio of Richards Majestic Productions. Since content pertaining to a movie studio is being discussed, fans have concluded that Michael might return to the game soon.

When these kinds of rumors come to the fore, fans reach out to the voice actor of the character on social media hoping to get some clarification from them. This time, however, fans didn’t have to make a lot of effort to get a response from the voice actor for Michael. Ned Luke, who is quite active on Twitter, retweeted the link to an article on this topic.

Had Luke given an elaborate statement on the subject, it would have made fans go into a state of frenzy. While he has refrained from speaking much about this topic, his retweet has paved the way for several intense discussions in online GTA communities. The fact that he retweeted the link to the article makes one believe he has read it and believes in some, if not all, of the text printed on it.

Rockstar Games, of course, has not offered any clarification on whether Michael would be returning to the franchise or not. While one is pretty sure a new GTA Online update is on its way, there is no clarity on when it will be released.
