The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 happens to be one of the talked about smartphones in the last few weeks.
Recent rumors suggested that the phone may launch with as much as three variants designed to make the phone appealing to a wide range of audience. Rumors suggest that the phone will have several common features between the variants and one of them is expected to be the screen. It will remain the same 5.7 inch display on all versions, but Xiaomi is expected to offer the higher end resolution only for the top end variants.
Latest rumors suggested that the higher end models in the lineup will come with a dual camera set up, which seems to be the flavor of the season. A number of phones have already been rumored to offer the dual camera set up. It remains to be seen how Xiaomi will apply this setup on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. In the past, phones that have offered this feature were not immensely popular since they did not seem to have the best application, but the situation could change with the launch of a similar camera setup on the upcoming Apple iPhone 7.
It is rumored that the dual camera setup in the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will involve two 12 megapixel cameras at the same time. It makes the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 power hungry with its large 5.7-inch screen. Hence, it is expected to pack a 4000 mAh battery along with fingerprint scanner and the lot. It was initially rumored that the phone would offer the snapdragon 820 processor, but the availability of the 823 range could change things at the last moment. The snapdragon 820 processor has not been hugely successful and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may very well go with the 823 range.
Phones with 6 GB of RAM can be common in the next few years, but right now, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be one of the devices to sport such a large capacity of RAM. This will be only for the highest version with 128 GB of storage. The 4 GB of RAM is found in the lower spec models from the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 lineup. It will be powered up with 32 GB of internal storage. The former is expected to cost around $525 while the lower end variant will be priced around $375.
