The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphones will be receiving Android 9 Pie from March 15, reveals the updated information on Samsung-affiliated Turkish Guncelmiyiz website.
The South Korean tech giant has already rolled out the Android 9 Pie update to smartphones likes Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9. After releasing the Android 9 Pie update for Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in February, the company will be rolling out the latest Android version to Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Android 9 Pie Update
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) that was unveiled in September with Android 8.0 Oreo OS onboard was recently spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance database with Android 9 Pie version. Also, the handset had appeared on Geekbench with the latest Android edition back in the first week of December 2018. These listings suggested that the company could be testing the latest software for it. Updated information on Guncel website states that the Android 9 Pie update is in the testing phase for the Galaxy A7 (2018) with model number SM-A750F.

We also recently spotted a listing of the old Galaxy A7 (2017) with Android Pie. The model number of Galaxy A7 2017 is SM-A720F.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) Android 9 Pie Update
The Galaxy A9 (2018) that was made official in October was spotted yesterday on Geekbench with Android 9 Pie. It was made official with Android 8.0 Oreo OS preinstalled. Today, the Guncel website states the Android 9 Pie update for the Galaxy A9 (2018) with model number of SM-A920F is also in the testing phase. Both handsets will be receiving the Android 9 Pie as the first major software update.
Given that these phones were recently just released in late 2018 with Android Oreo, these are also expected to receive Android Q update. As mentioned above, the South Korean company has planned to release the Android 9 Pie update for these phones by March 15. There is a possibility that the arrival of the update may vary by few days.
