The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is slated for launch during the Mobile World Congress event scheduled to take place this month.
Days ahead of the official launch, the phone was spotted on GFXBench benchmark results.
The smartphone is one of the best launches from Samsung in the budget range with an affordable price tag and good specifications. Based on the GFXBench page, it is known that the Samsung Galaxy J 2017 edition will sport a 5.5-inch display. It features a resolution of 1280×720 pixels which is not something that could be called worthy for a 2017 phone but it could be what budget buyers are looking for. The resolution is ideal to offer increased battery life. Under the shell, the phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa Core Exynos processor with 2GB of RAM and has Mali-T830 graphics processor.
Everything about the new Samsung smartphone is in the entry level range. It sports a 8 megapixel rear camera for your photos and there is a 5 megapixel front camera for the selfies as well as video calling requirements. Many of the specifications are close to the production model based on the information we have found so far and the GFXBench benchmark screenshot. However, some other rumors claim that the phone will feature a much better 16 megapixel camera on the rear end. The device will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.
Another version of the J7 2017 edition was spotted on GeekBench results that claimed the phone to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 2GB RAM and 16 GB of storage space. The processor might vary but the phone uses the same memory and the storage in all versions. In specific countries, Mediatek and some variants of processors are not allowed that might have encouraged them to go with Snapdragon chipset.
A rendered video also leaked the design of the upcoming smartphone showcasing a horizontal metal strip and an overall smooth finish with plastic construction in places. It looks much better than the outgoing 2016 model but in terms of specifications, the phone doesn’t vary drastically. It will be available in grey and white colored variants on launch. The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 edition has already received all major certifications including the FCC in the United States. The device will be available with Verizon, AT&T and U.S. Cellular in the country while it will be mostly sold unlocked in other regions.
