Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Tab S6 and ZTE Blade Vantage Receive Software Updates from Verizon

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Verizon

Verizon’s latest system updates include a couple of Samsung products, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 and a ZTE mobile device, the ZTE Blade Vantage.

Much of the changes being brought about in all three devices relate to the security update patches while some performance improvements are also included.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is now more than a year old and Verizon is sending out its 14th system update this time. The contents of this update are mainly the Android security update patch dated November 1, 2019.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung released this tablet Galaxy Tab S6 only in August this year and this is the first update the device is receiving from Verizon. The security update patch for this tablet from Android is of October 2019 and this is the latest for this device. Verizon has added in the notes to the update message that there are some performance improvements included in this update though the details are not provided there.

ZTE Blade Vantage

ZTE launched the ZTE Blade Vantage in 2017 and Verizon is sending out its 8th system update. The update contains the latest security patch from Android for the device which is dated October 1, 2019.

If you are familiar with the way Verizon updates are sent by the carrier, it is normally over the air (OTA) and will be automatically downloaded and installed on your devices. There are two key requirements Verizon usually advices the users to ensure at their end for the smooth download and installation. One is that your device must be connected to Wi-Fi. Some of the update files could be large and you don’t want to unnecessarily pay for data usage. The other important thing is the battery must have at least 50% charge remaining so that the device does not power off during the download or installation. The installation would then be incomplete.
