Renowned tipster Evan Blass revealed the screen sizes and variants of the upcoming flagship – the Samsung Galaxy S11, in a tweet on November 9th.
The tweet reveals the screen sizes, variants, features, as well as tentative launch dates of all the S11 variants in brief.
S11 Variants and Screen Sizes Leaked
In the tweet, the tipster mentioned that the Galaxy S11 will come in three screen sizes – the smallest screen size being 6.2 or 6.4 inches, an intermediate screen size of 6.7 inches, as well as the largest screen size being 6.9 inches diagonally.
The tweet initially mentioned the smallest size as 6.4 inches but was later corrected as there was conflicting information available regarding the smallest screen size being 6.2 inches.
The different sized smartphones will have different cellular options. The 6.2/6.4 and 6.7 inch versions of the smartphone will have both 4G LTE and 5G variants whereas the 6.9 inch version of the smartphone will only have a 5G variant. This comes out to a total of 5 variants for the Samsung Galaxy S11, two variants each for the 6.2/6.4 inch and 6.7 inch models and a single variant for the 6.9 inch model.
The tweet also mentions that all the variants will have curved display regardless of screen size. There won’t be a flat display variant like the S10e this year. The different variants could be named like last year with the smallest 6.2/6.4 inch variant being called the S11e, the intermediate 6.7 inch variant being called the regular S11 and the largest 6.9 inch model being called the S11+.
Galaxy S11 Release Date
Samsung is known for releasing its flagship smartphones first before releasing any other smartphones. The launch date traditionally comes down to a mid to late February launch. This year will not be any different as the launch date of the Galaxy S11 is expected to lie within the traditional time frame of mid to late February 2020. The exact date of launch is, however, unknown yet.
