The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched in a dedicated event at New York on April 18th 2017, rather than the expected MWC unveiling, according to latest rumors.
Reports claim that about ten million units will be mass-produced in the month of March this year. It is expected that Samsung will be launching two versions of the Galaxy S8 in 2017, with one of them coming with the flat display screen.
Recovering Confidence
Samsung is making a bid to regain the confidence of its fans and customers. The company has finally found the cause of the infamous Galaxy Note 7 fires and is holding off the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the MWC. Instead, Samsung is planning a dedicated event at New York on the 18th of April for its launch of the flagship device, the Galaxy S8.
Releasing in April
Insiders in the industry in South Korea claim that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be released on the 18th of April. The flagship device will be unveiled either by the end of March or early April and the Galaxy S8 will then be released all over the world on the 18th April. According to another related news, Samsung is starting a mass production of ten million units of the Galaxy S8 in the month of March, so the news adds up.
Ten Million Devices
According to the latest reports from ET News, Samsung will be producing ten million devices of the upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S8, in the April launch. It is rumored that Samsung has delivered such a plan for its suppliers this month, according to which the first batch of the device parts would reach the manufacturing plants next month and the mass production would start in the month of March this year.
Samsung Seems Confident
Samsung seems confident of selling this astonishing number of the Galaxy S8 within month of hitting the stands. The new features may be able to bring back part of the 7 trillion won that was lost in 2016.
Powerful Flagship Device
According to latest leaks, the upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S8, will be a very powerful one. The Exynos 8895 Octa or Snapdragon 835 CPU will power the Galaxy S8, depending on the region. The RAM will possibly be 8 GB and it will have dual camera setup of 12 MP for the rear camera and 8 MP front camera along with iris scanner feature. The Galaxy S8 will come in two variants, with one having a 6 inch panel and the other a 5 inches one. However, the bigger 6 inches version might cost an additional 20% over its predecessor.
What’s New?
Samsung might be considering navigation keys that are on screen. This might be necessary considering the fact that the company wants to fit a bigger display in the form factor of the S7 lineup of devices.
However, it has to be borne in mind that the release date comes from unconfirmed and unofficial sources, so nothing is confirmed as of now.
